MCCS tool also provides the following two methods to handle the config file at the BMC side.
7.6.4 Shutdown Behavior for mCPU
Shutting down of mCPU will not power down the chassis. If a power down of the chassis is
required, run the
sysctl dev.ipmi.poweroff_enable=1
command, before powering
off.
7.6.5 Graceful Shutdown and Reboot of aCPU
Applicable : mCPU/aCPU

To poweroff, shutdown an aCPU gracefully from mCPU, aCPU needs
mcmsgd.service
. This
service is started at Linux startup by the
systemd
. You can poweroff or reboot an aCPU
through the MCCS service with help of the
mccs_tool
on mCPU.
For graceful poweroff
mccs_tool.py –-method set-cpu-power –-power graceful_poweroff
For graceful reboot
mccs_tool.py –-method set-cpu-power –-power graceful_reboot
