5) Raise the patient using the hand control. The head
support area of the sling should now begin to support
the head more (when using MAA8000 and MAA8010
model slings).
WARNING:
Always confirm that the sling
attachment loops are correctly attached and
remain under tension while the weight of the
patient is gradually taken up. This will prevent a
patient fall.

6) Proceed with the transfer. Be sure to keep a hand
on the spreader bar to stop excessive swinging.
While transferring, adjust the patient's position, from
sitting to lying position, using the "
RECLINE
" (
)
button.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to pull the lift along
the rail using the hand control cable. This will
damage the cable and eventually ruin the
function of the hand control.
7) When the ceiling lift has reached the destination,
begin lowering the patient down onto the new
location.
Adjust the patient's sitting/lying position to meet the
new surface.
WARNING:
When using the lowering function
be careful to not hit the patient with the
spreader bar as this could cause injuries.
8) When the patient's body weight is fully supported,
detach the leg loops, then the shoulder loops.
Carefully move the ceiling lift away from the patient.
Remove the sling from underneath the patient.
