Troubleshooting
NOTE: If the product does not work as intended, immediately contact your local Arjo distributor for
support.
WARNING:
Before each use, make sure all end stoppers are in place to prevent the risk of a patient
falling
PROBLEM
TO CHECK
After pushing up on one ceiling lift's
"Power on" switch, the LED does
not light up and nothing appears on
the display.
• Ensure the ‘’Power On’’ switch on both ceiling lifts are
pushed upward.
• The ceiling lift may be in sleep mode. Press a button on
the hand control or one of the auxiliary buttons and see if
anything appears on the display.
• Note that in Single Mode, only the leading ceiling lift will
have its display lit up.
• If problem persists, contact your Arjo agent for
maintenance.
The LED is red and nothing
appears on the display.
• This may indicate that batteries are depleted.
• The ceiling lift may be in sleep mode. Press a button on the
hand control or one of the auxiliary buttons and see if
anything appears on the display.
• Note that in Single Mode, only the leading ceiling lift will
have its display lit.
• If the problem persists, contact your Arjo agent for
maintenance.
The LED is green but nothing
appears on the display.
• The ceiling lift may be in sleep mode. Press a button on the
hand control or one of the auxiliary buttons and see if
anything appears on the display.
• Note that in Single Mode, only the leading ceiling lift will
have its display lit.
• If problem persists, contact your Arjo agent for
maintenance.
A general malfunction code appears
on the display (see "LCD Display
Symbols" on page 8).
• Some functions may be prohibited.
• If malfunction persists, contact your Arjo agent for
maintenance.
A maintenance code appears on
the display after a period of sleep
mode.
• The unit can be used but maintenance must be done as
soon as possible by your Arjo agent.
The
symbol is flashing on the
display.
• A motor duty cycle has been reached.
• The function that exceeded the duty cycle is disabled
while all other functions remain active.
• Lower patient and wait until the
symbol disappears
before attempting another transfer.
LED does not light up at all. Display
is working properly.
• Check within the customize menu whether the LED is in
the "enabled" state (see "Customizing" on page 10).
• If LED is in the "enabled" state and it still does not light up,
contact your Arjo agent for maintenance.
The ceiling lift emits a beep during
use.
• Batteries are low. See if display indicates low batteries.
Return the ceiling lift to the charging station.
The unit may stop lifting but the lowering function can still
be used.
Batteries are always discharged
after only a few (3 to 5) transfers.
• Place the
Maxi Sky
2 Plus under the charging station for a
complete charging cycle of 8 hours.
• If the ceiling lift does not detect the charging station, refer
to page 39.
• If problem persists, contact your Arjo agent for
maintenance.
