6) Raise the patient using the hand control,
positioning them comfortably into a semi-reclined
position for the transfer. The patient should not be
lifted above the caregiver's eye-level.
7) Proceed with the transfer keeping a hand on the
spreader bar to stop excessive swinging.
CAUTION:
Do not attempt to pull the lift along the
track using the hand control cable. This will
damage the cable and eventually stop the
function of the hand control and ceiling lift.

8) When the ceiling lift has reached the destination,
begin lowering the patient down onto the new
location.
Adjust the patient's position, from lying to sitting,
using the
button as you are seating the patient
down in the chair.
WARNING:
When using the lowering function be
careful not to hit the patient with the spreader
bar as this could cause injuries.

9) When the patient's body weight is fully supported,
detach the leg loops, then the shoulder loops.
Carefully move the ceiling lift away from the patient.
Remove the sling from behind the patient.
