5) When the patient's body weight is fully
supported, detach all loops.
Move the ceiling lift away from the patient.
Bed Turning
Make sure that the bed frame is in the flat position (i.e. the backrest is not inclined) before attempting to turn
a patient. Prior to turning the patient, it may be necessary to first move the patient sideways to ensure that
there is sufficient space to turn the patient.

1) Position the ceiling lift directly over the patient
and lower the spreader bars at a 45° angle to allow
the sling loops to be attached.
WARNING:
Do not lower the spreader bar onto
the patient, as this may cause injuries.
2) Connect at least two loops nearest to the
patient's shoulder and two loops nearest the
patient's hips on one side of the repositioning sling
to the foot-end of the spreader bar, making sure
that they are evenly distributed on both hooks.
Select loop length in order to roll the patient as
straight as possible.
WARNING:
Make sure that the bed safety rail is
installed and in the raised position to prevent
the patient from falling.

3) Raise the spreader bar until the patient is rolled
into the appropriate position.
NOTE: Place some pillows to prevent the patient
from rolling backwards and to maximize the
patient's comfort.
