Bed Repositioning
Moving Upwards or Sideways in a Bed

1) Position the
Maxi Sky
2 Plus directly over the
patient.
WARNING:
Do not lower the spreader bar onto
the patient, as this may causing injuries.
2) Connect as many loops as possible to the
spreader bar. Make sure to distribute loops on all
four hooks.
Select loop lengths in order to lift the patient as
horizontally as possible.

3) Raise the patient using the
Maxi Sky
2 Plus until
the patient's hips and upper body are supported
and until it is possible to move the patient up in the
bed. Use a
MaxiTube
sliding sheet under the
patient's feet if needed.
NOTE: It may be necessary to support the head
for some patients, depending on the patient's
medical condition.
WARNING:
Pay attention to the patient's
position. An overly inclined spreader bar (e.g.
where hips are much higher than the shoulders)
may lead to the patient sliding out of the sling.

4) Move the patient towards the head of the bed or
sideways.
Lower the patient down onto the new location.
WARNING:
When using the lowering function
be careful to not hit the patient with the
spreader bar as this could cause injuries.
