NXA-WAP200G Wireless Access Point

Basic Wireless Configuration Page (Bridge Mode)

This page can be accessed by pressing the

Wireless

tab from the Configuration Utility. This page’s

information is displayed in read-only format in the

Access Point Information

section of the Bridge

Mode Setup page. The fields in this Basic Wireless Configuration page (FIG. 51) are described in

the table below.

Basic Wireless Configuration Page (BM) Information

Wireless Network Type:

In Bridge Mode you can configure the NXA-WAP200G as follows:

•

Infrastructure

- Enables you to connect to any access point wirelessly.

•

Ad-Hoc

- Enables you to connect, on a peer-to-peer basis, with another

bridge or wireless client.

•

Peer to Peer

- Enables you to create a tunnel with another P2P bridge.

Peer MAC Address:

The MAC Address of the peer WLAN bridge.

Wireless Network Name:
(SSID)

This functions the same as in the Access Point Mode. This is the SSID for the
wireless access point, or client, which this device will connect with, must be the
same.

Note:

Leave this field blank to associate with any Access Point (AP).

Desired MAC (BSSID):

When there are multiple AP's in the local area, this field enables manual
selection of one specific Access Point for connectivity. The SSIDs still must
match.

Note:

You can copy and past the MAC Address of the desired AP from the

Status screen.

Channel:

The radio channel used by the WAP200G while in Ad-Hoc mode.

Transmission rate
(Mbits/s):

Speed at which the bridge transmits data.
