Select Protected Setup > Wireless Connection ( or Secondary Connection ) to open the
Wireless Connection page. Wireless communication is set within the IP Settings section of this
page.

Toggle the DHCP/Static field ( from the IP Settings section ) until the choice cycles to DHCP .
This action causes all fields in the IP Settings section (other than Host Name) to be greyed-out.

From within the Wireless Settings section of this page, touch the Network Name (SSID) field
(FIG. 26).
9. From the Service Set Identifier keyboard, enter the SSID name used on your target Wireless
Access Point ( case sensitive ).
The card should be given the SSID for a target WAP. If this field is left blank, the unit
will attempt to connect to the first available WAP. By default, the WAP comes
confugred with AMX as the assigned SSID value.
One of the most common problems associated with connection to the WAP arises because
the SSID was not entered properly. You must maintain the same case when entering the
SSID information. ABC is not the same as Abc.
10. Toggle the Authentication field to an Open System .
Open System Authentication allows any device to join the network if the panel’s SSID
matches the WAP’s SSID.
11. Toggle the Encryption field until it reads Clear Text (default) .

Verify the fields in the IP Settings section have been properly configured.

The Authentication field by default reads Open System .
The remaining Wireless Settings fields are then greyed-out and become read-only.
The WAP200G is factory-shipped as an unsecured WAP with no WEP encryption.
The WAP200G initial Status page will display the status of both the WEP and WPA
(both
disabled ).
