NXA-WAP200G Wireless Access Point
The first screen that appears within the WAP200G’s Configuration Utility is the Status page. From
within the Current Wireless Settings section, note the Wireless network name. By default this name
is AMX . To properly communicate between the WAP200G and a wireless Modero panel, both
SSID names must match (FIG. 22).
The MVP is programmed to automatically associate with the FIRST WAP
communicating in the "Open" mode; as a result, the MVP will connect to the
WAP200G right out of the box.
WAP200G and Modero Unsecured Communication Setup
After logging into the WAP200G, the default Status page (FIG. 23) appears within the web
browser. These read-only values are "pulled" from some of the other user-configurable
Configuration Utility pages. By default, wireless Modero panels are configured for unsecured
communication to a Wireless Access Point.
Preparing the WAP for unsecured communication

Click the Connected tab, from the top row of the Configuration Utility to open the Connected
Devices page and see if any wireless devices are connected. Initially, this page is blank and
displays " Not Found!!!" , to indicate there are currently no devices communicating to the
WAP200G.
In this default mode (with no encryption set and an SSID of AMX ), there may be times
when this section has some MAC Addresses displayed within it. Don’t worry, once you
secure the WAP, any unrecognized connections should disappear.
After logging into the WAP200G you can change the default User Name and
Password from within the Administration page.
