7-2-2. INSTALLING AND REMOVING PUNCHES BY SLIDING THEM
ALONG GROOVE OF REAR CLAMPING PLATES

Before installing and removing the
punches, turn the POWER ON/OFF
keyswitch to OFF, remove the key from the
keyswitch, and keep it by yourself.
Installing punches in rear clamping plates

Insert the fall
prevention tongue of
the punch into the fall
prevention groove of
the rear clamping
plate as shown right.

After positioning the
punch, turn the rear
fixing bolts clockwise
with an Allen wrench
to clamp the punch.

Install the punch as
described in “5-3.
Installing punches” in
this Part.

When turning the rear
fixing bolts with the
Allen wrench to clamp
the punch, be sure to
tighten the left and
right of the rear
clamping plate parallel
and with equal force.
If you overtighten the
clamping plate with
the leverage of a long
wrench or pipe, the
durability of the
belleville springs may
suffer.
