Document Presentation provides efficient, high-quality rendering for the following
Microsoft Office applications:

PowerPoint

Word
•
Excel
Note:
When using Document Presentation, any animations within documents will
be flattened.
Application/desktop sharing and editing
Application and Desktop Sharing allow for a broader range of applications because the
participant who has been granted editing rights is actually performing the edits on the
conference leader’s desktop. (The leader’s desktop becomes the participant’s desktop.)
Note:
Refer to Appendix D for a list of browsers that support Application Sharing.
The number of Application Sharing participants is only limited by the network capacity
license. However, the conference leader must still be mindful of desktop size for easier
sharing of data. Reducing desktop size to 800 x 600 and only showing needed parts will
help. New data is sent/refreshed only when changes are made (bursty).
Table 7-1 Average Bandwidth per User
The bandwidth consumption varies according to the application being shared, the screen
resolution, the color depth, and the window size if individual applications are shared.
Fairly static applications including most business applications such as Excel, Word, or
PowerPoint require less bandwidth, while dynamic applications such as animated browser
pages, etc. are much more bandwidth intensive.
Note:
The following table depicts per user bandwidth findings for some typical
applications when using Application Sharing to share a full screen at 1024x768 and
8-bit color.
