When an Engine is decoding from NDI to SDI, it is orange and indicates the NDI to
SDI direction, as shown here in
Figure 35. NDI to SDI direction
Clicking on the Cog button causes the Engine to switch directions.
Bank Controls
Bank 1 and Bank 2 are supported by Engine A.
Changing the Encode/Decode direction for Engine A will affect both Banks 1 and
2.
Bank 3 and Bank 4 are supported by Engine B.
Changing the Encode/Decode direction for Engine B will affect both Banks 3 and
4.
IMPORTANT: Control Bar > Video Setup Tab must be selected in order to be able to
change encode/decode direction above on the I/O Screen. When Viewing the I/O
Screen, if the Control Bar > Video Setup Tab is NOT selected, the Encode/Decode
Cog is disabled.
Each Bank can be independently configured from the other Banks in one of three
ways:
4 x HD Channels
• 4 x 3G-SDI used to support 4 separate sources/destinations
1x 4K Group
• 4x 3G-SDI used to support a single 4K/UltraHD source/destination
• For 2SI LFR, the first two channels of the bank can be used
• For 2SI HFR or Square division all four channels of the bank must be used.
2x HD Video plus Key Group
• 2x dual 3G-SDI used to support two separate pairs of Video and Key sources/
destinations
• Video and Key pair one uses the first two channels of the bank
• Video and Key pair two uses the second two channels of the bank
• SDI Video and Key input is through two separate 3G-SDI connections
• NDI Video and Key is through a single NDI stream with Alpha Channel
Beneath each Bank under Control Bar > Video Setup tab, each channel/group has
video format information shown beneath (output video format).
