Determining Encoding vs. Decoding

In the example above, all channels of SDI input are being encoded from SDI to 

NDI. The Bank buttons are blue, as is the outline of each Video Tile, which is the 

system color for SDI to NDI encoding (SDI In, NDI Out).
When Bank buttons and the outline of each Video Tiles are colored orange, this is 

indicating that those channels/groups/banks are set for decoding NDI to SDI (NDI 

In, SDI Out). 

Changing Between SDI to NDI Encoding and NDI to SDI Decoding

To change between SDI to NDI Encoding and NDI to SDI Decoding, use a single 

click on the Cog Icon found on the I/O Screen (and on the Control Bar > Video 

Setup Tab). This will toggle between the two modes, and the color of the Bank 

Indicators, Video Tile borders, etc., will change accordingly.

NOTE:  When changing an engine between encode and decode, all system channels/

groups will re-lock to incoming video and a momentary interruption to video and 

audio will likely occur.

confidence monitoring, along with the name of its source.
