BRIDGE NDI 3G Conversion Gateway Appliance v1.0 21 www.aja.com

SDI to NDI Encoding

If the system will be devoted to receiving incoming SDI and encoding to NDI for

output to the NDI Network, then all SDI connections to BRIDGE NDI 3G will be

3G-SDI sources coming from devices such as Cameras, Routers, Recorders/Players,

and NLE/VFX/GFX system playback.

Connect SDI Sources to Rear BNC Ports

Keeping in mind the layout of the rear BNC connectors as described in

"BRIDGE NDI 3G Chassis Rear View" on page 10,

connect your SDI sources to the

rear BNC connectors.
Selecting the SDI source for each channel on BRIDGE NDI 3G is determined by the

cabling of SDI sources to the BNC connectors on the rear of the BRIDGE NDI 3G

device.
As soon as you have connected active input signals, those sources will be visible

immediately on the I/O Screen (as long as the Bank buttons are blue, reflecting

the SDI to NDI direction).
