ALMEMO
®
wireless interface will possibly consume permanently a lot
of current. To extend battery life, the sensor supply will be automated
during sleep mode. For sensors that require some time for the
transient oscillation before a measured value can be queried, a
settling time can be set.
In ALMEMO
®
plugs that have already been programmed upon
delivery, the settling time is already saved as sleep delay time. still it
has to be set in the ALMEMO
®
wireless interface (see below).
During sleep mode the wireless sensor cannot function as a repeater.
This means that the sensor cannot receive measured data from other
ALMEMO
®
wireless sensors and forward them to the wireless data
logger in case no direct connection between the other sensor and the
data logger is possible.
The sleep mode is available for wireless sensors with software
version V1.04 and higher and for data loggers with software version
V1.03 and higher. For software updates please contact the technical
support (phone +49 8024 3007-38, email [email protected]).
In case you want to make settings regarding designation of the
sensor, transmission power, measuring cycle, output cycle, or active
measuring channels, the energy saving mode should be interrupted
(see section How to get the wireless sensor temporarily out of the
energy saving mode).
Enable sleep mode
!
The wireless sensor must be connected to the data logger.
!
No measurement may be started.
!
The output cycle should be set to at least 30 seconds (see chapter
8.2.5 How to set the Output Cycle), to make sure that the time in
which the sensor is in energy saving mode is sufficient to extend the
battery life.
1. In the home screen, tap on sensor overview
.
2. Tap on the arrow at the end of the line of the wireless sensor, of which
you want to enable the sleep mode.
3. Tap on
Power setting.
4. Tap on the field next to
Radio network registration.
