4 Safety Notes

Please read the Instruction Manual carefully and follow the safety and
warning notes.

Only operate the measuring instrument in accordance with the
intended use.
→
Do not operate the device outside of the indicated environmental
conditions. Only operate the device within the technical specifications
(see chapter 14 Technical Data).

Only open the device for maintenance and care purposes, see
chapter 10 Maintenance and Care.
→
Make sure that the static electricity has been discharged before you
touch the sensor cable.
→
Do not install sensor cables close to electric power lines.
→
Do not operate the device near fuels or chemicals, not on blasting
areas or petrol stations.
→
Only use the supplied mains adapter. Do not open or manipulate the
mains adapter.
→
Do not use the device when damaged due to electrostatic discharge,
radiation or lightning.
→
Make sure that the batteries are not mechanically damaged, short
circuited, or thrown into a fire.
→
If you have a pacemaker or an implanted defibrillator, do not use a
magnetic wall mount. Magnets can affect the functionality of
pacemakers and implanted defibrillators.
4.1 How to avoid Measuring Errors and Product
Damages
→
Please wait for the device to adapt to the ambient temperature before
starting to operate it.
Bringing the device from a cold environment into the operating room
may cause condensation on the electronics assembly. Regarding
thermocouple measurements, severe temperature changes may
cause larger measuring errors.
