Vent the MSD (see

“To Vent the MSD”

on page

76).

Disconnect the side board control cable and the source power cable from
the side board.



C A U T I O N

Electrostatic discharges to analyzer components are conducted to the side board
where they can damage sensitive components. Wear a grounded antistatic wrist strap
and take other antistatic precautions (

page 123

) before opening the analyzer chamber.
