Switching the Engine Off
Perform the following procedure to switch the engine off for a short period.
Procedure: How to Switch the Engine Off for a Short Period
- Step 1: Confirm that the shuttle is in home position.
- Step 2: Turn off all the printer modules with the All Off button
(outlined in red in Fig.5-39)
in the bottom
right of the Engine Message Overview window. This will automatically cool down the heads.
- Step 3 Close the GUI application from the close application cross in the top right of the screen
(outlined in blue in Fig. 5-39)
. A Shutting Down the Printer Pop-up is displayed before the window closes.

- Step 4: The service Host window will pop up on the desktop or from the task
(see Fig.5-41)

- Step 5: Wait for all services to terminate, the service host window will close automatically .
- Step 6: Turn the engine mains switch Off.
- Step 7: Optionally, wait 10 minutes and turn the external air exhaust system Off.
Danger: Some parts remain supplied when the mains switch is OFF. Do not access the
service cabinet. Only properly trained key operators and service engineers are
entitled to access the service cabinet.
