Each color bar holds two header ink sub-tanks, six print heads on a base plate, heat devices, tempera-
ture sensors and the control electronics. The ink tank, print heads and base plate are temperature
controlled respectively to 40°C, 45°C and 40°C.
The curing module on the right side
(outlined in black in Figure 3-5)
is also equipped with one needle impact
sensor. They will prevent collision of the head in case that the media thickness is larger than the value
entered.
The anti-static devices evacuate the electro-static charges accumulating in non-conductive media. The
two collision sensors will prevent collision of the print heads with the media (for example, in case of
media curling issues). The LED protection units will prevent pollution and assure a consistent droplet
positioning during the printing process.
Ink System
The ink system comprises all the components of the Jeti Tauro H3300 LED in contact with the inks. It
starts with the Ink Supply Systems (ISS) where the operator fills the system with ink and ends in the
color bars with the print head firing the ink on the media.
