Classification Filter Profile

This chapter shows you how to configure the 

Classification Filter Profile

 screen to filter 

packets. 

22.1  Overview 

In addition to filtering packets based on the MAC address (refer to 

Section 26.3 on page 181

), 

you can configure the ONU to forward or drop packets based on the VLAN ID, protocol 
number, Ethernet type or the TCP/UDP source port number. 

22.2  Classification Filter Profile Setup 

Use the 

Classification Filter Profile

 screen to configure actions on the grouped traffic flow.

Your OLT comes with two pre-defined classification filter profiles. The “Default” filter profile 
forwards all packets (tagged or untagged). As the name implies, the “Stop_traffic” filter 
profile discards all packets, thus preventing the subscriber from sending traffic through the 
ONU.
