6.5 The Time & Date Screen
Click System Tools > Time & Date to open this screen. This is where you can configure the
NXC-8160 time and date settings.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Current Time Displays the current time according to the NXC-8160.
Internet Time Select this option to have the NXC-8160 retrieve the time and date from an
Internet time server.
Time Zone If using the Internet Time option, select the time zone in the which the NXC-
8160 is located from this list.
NTP Server Select this option if you want the NXC-8160 to use an NTP server from which to
retrieve the time and date. Once selected, choose an NTP server from the
Main
list. You can also choose a second server from the Backup list; in the event that
the NXC-8160 cannot connect with the Main server it will try to retrieve the time
and date from the Backup server.
Note: You can use a custom server in conjunction with an NTP
server. You do not need use the same type for both of your
Main and Backup time servers.
Custom Server IP If you know the IP address of an NTP server that is not in the NTP Server list,
select this option and then enter it in this field. You can also use a custom server
for the Backup server option.

Update Every (1-
168) hours If using the Internet Time option, enter the frequency with which the NXC-8160
updates its internal clock from the currently configured NTP server list.
