4.7 The Assignments Screen
Click WLAN > Assignments to open this screen. This is where you can assign the NXC-
8160’s ESSIDs to one of its two built-in radios.

4.8 Technical Reference
The following section contains additional technical information about the NXC-8160 features
described in this chapter.
Wireless LAN
A wireless LAN can be as simple as two computers with wireless LAN adapters
communicating in a peer-to-peer network or as complex as a number of computers with
wireless LAN adapters communicating through access points which bridge network traffic to
the wired LAN.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
ESSID This is a list of all currently mapped ESSIDs in the NXC-8160. They belong to
the APs that are connected to it.
Radio 1 This is a list of checkboxes that you can use to assign an ESSID to Radio 1 .
Click a checkbox to enable it. Click an already-enabled checkbox to disable it.
Radio 2 This is a list of checkboxes that you can use to assign an ESSID to Radio 2 .
Click a checkbox to enable it. Click an already-enabled checkbox to disable it.
Save Click Save to store your changes.
Cancel Click Reset to begin configuring this screen afresh.
