4.2.2.4 WPA-Personal/WPA2-Personal
Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) is a subset of the IEEE 802.11i standard. WPA2 (IEEE
802.11i) is a wireless security standard that defines stronger encryption, authentication and
key management than WPA. The key differences between WPA(2) and WEP are improved
data encryption and user authentication.
If both the NXC-8160 and the wireless clients connected to it support WPA2, using WPA-
Personal only requires a single (identical) password entered into each access point, wireless
gateway and wireless client. As long as the passwords match, a wireless client is granted
access to the NXC-8160 WLAN.
From the
Method
menu, select
WPA-Personal/WPA2-Personal
to display the following
parameters.

RADIUS Server
(1-4)
The NXC-8160 can use an external RADIUS server to authenticate users. RADIUS
servers are checked in order from 1 to 4 (for example, if server 1 is not found or
authentication fails then the NXC-8160 tries server 2, and so on).
Select a RADIUS server from the list. You can configure a list of RADIUS servers
on the
WLAN > ESSID Definition > RADIUS
screen. For more information, see
