1
Power read by CTa
2
Direction of power flow:
IMPORT → from grid to utility
EXPORT → from utility to grid
3
Phase shift between the voltage and current of the phase where the
CT is positioned
4
Indicates the status of the current sensors:
UNFREEZE → unblocked direction
FREEZE → blocked direction
Figure 39 – Screen relating to the CT Direction submenu
The three lines show the information relating to the CT inputs, the reading of the detected
power, the direction of this and the Power Factor; for example, the figure shows a CTa sensor
reading equal to 1.85 kW being imported from the grid towards the utility; in this case, the
Power Factor indicates the phase shift of the current measured with respect to the voltage.
At power-up (i.e. during the initial waiting time), make sure that there is more than 200W of
power on the CTa three-phase in IMPORT conditions in order to correctly direct the probe with a
Power Factor value of more than 90%.
4.
When the appropriate start-up conditions (imported power > 200 W and PV > 90% 90% on all
phases) have been met, it will be possible to “freeze” this situation so that it does not have to be
repeated on future system start-ups.
a.
Press the second key ↑ to display the FREEZE message at the bottom
b.
Press ENTER to confirm.
This activates the FREEZE option, which blocks the direction of the sensor, making subsequent
machine start-ups easier.
In case of error during the start-up procedure and incorrect direction of the sensor, it is possible
to cancel the FREEZE operation by simply entering into the CT direction menu and changing the
FREEZE option to UNFREEZE, using the up arrow key and confirming with the ENTER key.
