Note:
The apps in your phone cannot be moved to the external microSD card. And not all apps can
be uninstalled or moved.
Connect to PC
Select your USB connection type between your phone and PC. For more information, see
Transfer
Files Between Your Phone and a Computer
.

2. Choose one of the following USB connection types.
l
Install driver:
Install the driver needed for connecting your phone to your PC software, as a
media device or camera, or to share mobile network. You only need to install the driver on
the same PC once.
Note:
You can also install the driver on PC by running the executable file in the new CD-ROM drive.
l
Connect to PC software:
Install apps or manage data on the phone via PC software.
l
Media device (MTP):
Transfer media files on Windows, or using Android File Transfer on
Mac.
Note:
For Windows XP, you need to install the driver and Media Player 11(or later version) when
you use Media device (MTP) for the first time.
l
Camera (PTP):
Transfer photos using camera software, and transfer any files on
computers that don’t support MTP.
l
USB tethering:
Turn on USB tethering. See
Share Your Phone’s Data Connection via
USB Cable
.
3. Uncheck
Don’t ask me again
to be prompted to select the connection type each time you
connect the phone to your PC.
Activate This Device
The Activate this device menu allows you to activate your phone if it is not activated, and check
usage during the current billing period.

If the phone is not activated, the activation process begins. Wait till it finishes and touch
Done
to exit.

If the phone is already activated, the usage details of your plan during the current billing
period are displayed. Touch
Check Usage
to refresh the data.
