7.2.11 Adjusting the Motor Current Detection Offset

Motor current detection offset adjustment is performed at Yaskawa before shipping. Basically,
theuserneednotperformthisadjustment.Performthisadjustmentonly ifhighly accurateadjust-
ment is required for reducing torque ripple caused by current offset.

Thefollowingsectionsdescribeautomaticandmanualadjustmentofthecurrentdetectionoffset.

If this function, particularly manual adjustment, is executed carelessly, it may worsen the characteristics.

Automatic Adjustment of the Motor Current Detection Offset

Follow the procedure below to perform automatic adjustment of the current detection offset.

Automatic adjustment is possible only with power supplied to the main circuits and with the servo OFF.

Using the Hand-held Digital Operator

1.

Press the DSPL/SET Key to select the auxiliary function mode.

2.

Select the user constant Fn00E.
Press the Left or Right Cursor Key to select the digit.
Press the Left or Right Cursor Key to change the value.

3.

Press the DATA/ENTER Key, and the display will be as shown below.

4.

Press the DSPL/SET Key. The display will change as shown below and offset will be auto-
matically adjusted.

Flashing

for one

second

5.

Press the DATA/ENTER Key to return to the auxiliary function mode display.

This completes the automatic adjustment of the motor current detection offset.
