8. Check the starter relay.
Refer to “CHECKING THE RE-
LAYS” on page 8-94. Replace the starter relay.
9. Check the engine stop switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-87.
The engine stop switch is faulty. Replace
the right handlebar switch.
10.Check the sidestand switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-87. Replace the sidestand switch.
11.Check the front brake light switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-87. Replace the front brake light switch.
12.Check the rear brake light switch.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-87. Replace the rear brake light switch.
13.Check the ON/start switch “ ”.
Refer to “CHECKING THE
SWITCHES” on page 8-87.
The ON/start switch “ ” is faulty. Re-
place the right handlebar switch.
14.Check the start diodes (diode 1 and
2).
Refer to “CHECKING THE DI-
ODES” on page 8-98.
Replace the diode(s).
15.Check the entire starting system’s
wiring.
Refer to “CIRCUIT DIAGRAM” on
page 8-5. Properly connect or replace the wire har-
ness.
Replace the smart key unit. Refer to
“SMART KEY SYSTEM” on page
8-67.
