•
Power-Down Time in seconds
: This setting controls the amount of time that the HHD
will remain on when not in use. A shorter time will conserve battery power.
•
Display Multiplier
: This setting, if checked, will display the Multiplier on the HHD screen
after a reading is taken. Multiplier values, if any, must be imported from the route file
created by the billing software or in some cases may be programmed into the register.
•
Display Units of Measure
: This setting will display the units of measurement (US
Gallons, Cubic Feet, etc.) on the HHD screen after a reading is taken. The Units of
Measure value, if any, must be imported from the route file created by the billing software
or in some cases may be programmed into the register.
•
Apply Multiplier to Reading
: If this setting is used, the HHD display will show the
reading with the multiplier applied. The reading shown is multiplied by the value of the
multiplier, if any, imported from the billing software or programmed into the register. For
example, if the reading taken is "2345" and the multiplier imported from billing is 1000,
the reading will appear on the HHD display as "2345000."
•
Apply Multiplier to High/Low Limits and Previous Reading
: This setting applies the
multiplier to the High/Low Limit and Previous Read values imported from the billing
software. For example, if the billing software provides the reading of "2345" as the Low
Limit, and the multiplier is 1000, the Low Limit becomes "2345000."
•
Enable Auto Entry
: When this setting is checked, it allows the meter reader to enter
a manual reading on the HHD without first pressing the
Manual
button. Enabling Auto
Entry increases the chances that a meter reader will inadvertently store a reading when
keys are pressed unintentionally, but will also speed things up if there are a great number
of Manual reads to be taken.
