6. When you insert a handheld into the dock, a red LED on the handheld is illuminated,
indicating that it is properly docked and ready to communicate over the network.
7. For networking, use an Ethernet cable to connect the dock to an Ethernet switch or to
an internal network.
8. Use communication software to communicate with the handhelds over an Ethernet
network. Follow the instructions included with the software.
Note
: Handhelds can be used when they are in the dock. The keys and display are accessible.
