3 Polling Devices
The Polling Devices screen lists all the Handheld, Vehicle or PhonRead reading devices
that are configured in the AutoRead application. For example, if a utility has three HHDs,
there should be three devices listed on the
Polling Devices - Handheld
screen. There are
controls provided to add Reading Devices to the system and to configure the properties and
settings of the reading devices individually. There are also tabs provided to change the pre-
defined Notecodes that a meter reader will have access to while reading meters, as well as
settings pertaining to Work Order records.

Instructions

appear on the screen of the HHD for that particular Work Order record informing the
operator of what needs done at the selected account. When completing a Work Order
in the HHD, the operator must also specify the Work Performed; these Instructions serve
as the listing from which they must choose.
Parts
: This tab allows for entry of default
part descriptions. While the worker may type their own descriptions into the HHD, having
a preset list to choose from greatly increases speed and accuracy.
