MA IV User’s Guide
Using the Xybernaut MA IV
:
Function Keys
Description
ESC, TAB, BS (Backspace),
DEL (Delete), Enter
These keys perform the same functions as the respective keys
on a computer keyboard. Use them as you would using a
keyboard.
ALT, CTL, Shift
These keys perform the same functions as the respective keys
on a computer keyboard. To use:
Press the ALT, CTL, or Shift function key
Select (highlight) the icon, file, folder, or other item and drag
or click the item.
Not-Drag
The default FPD interface enables dragging. For example,
dragging the stylus across the Windows desktop highlights the
icons in its path. This behavior is similar to pressing a
conventional mouse’s left button while dragging the mouse to
select several icons.
Touching the Not-Drag key disables the dragging function.
Touching the Not-Drag key a second time enables the dragging
function.
Double (click)
Press to perform a “double-click” action of a conventional
mouse. To use:
Select (highlight) the icon, file, folder, or other item
Press the Double function key
The selected item opens.
Right (click)
Press to perform a “right-click” action of a conventional
mouse. To use:
Select (highlight) the icon, file, folder, or other item
Press the Right function key
The shortcut menu displays.
SET UP
Press to enter the FPD’s setup mode. (See “Entering the FPD Set
Up Mode” on page 45 to learn more about the setup mode)
B/L ON/OFF
Press this key for more than a half-second to turn the backlight
off. Press again for more than a half-second to turn the
backlight on.
B/L UP
Press this key to increase the backlight brightness. Four
incremental settings.
B/L DOWN
Press this key to decrease the backlight brightness. Four
incremental settings.
KEY (Keyboard)
Press to display the virtual full keyboard. Once displayed, press
the keys on the virtual keyboard as you would using a
conventional keyboard.
