Glossary
AC power adapter
Part of the power system that uses a detachable power cord to plug into
an electrical outlet to either power the MA IV during desktop use or the
battery charger.
battery
A lithium-ion battery that combines with the battery holder to form a
battery pack to power the MA IV during mobile use.
battery charger
Part of the power system that, when plugged into an electrical outlet,
provides a charge to the MA IV’s lithium-ion battery. The battery charger
is also used as part of the power system when you connect the MA IV
to an electrical outlet for desktop use.
battery holder
Part of the power system that holds the lithium-ion battery to form a
battery pack. The battery holder’s cable plugs into the CPU to power the
MA IV during mobile use.
battery pack
A battery inserted into the battery holder. A battery pack plugs into the
CPU to power the MA IV during mobile use.
cellular connection
A dial-up network connection that uses cellular technology. Used for
long-distance connections to the network.
CPU
The Central Processing Unit. A fully functional PC, it is the brains behind
the MA IV.
display unit
The unit that displays an image onto the Image Reflector and then back
to your eye. The Display Unit attaches to the Head Mounted Display to
act as a monitor.
earphone/microphone
The earpiece that serves as a microphone to accept voice commands for
the MA IV’s voice commands and as a earphone for audio response.
