The MA IV comes preloaded with the following software:
• Windows Operating System
• IBM ViaVoice
• Xybernaut link Assist
These software packages allow you to boot the MA IV and set
up the MA IV to respond to voice commands.
Setting up the Speech Software
By combing IBM ViaVoice and Xybernaut link Assist software,
you become truly mobile by freeing your hands for tasks that
make you more productive. To get the most out of your speech
recognition software, you must invest the time to set up
ViaVoice and
link Assist.
Setting up IBM ViaVoice
IBM ViaVoice lets you control your computer and create
documents with your voice.
For ViaVoice to be most effective, you must help the software
to recognize the characteristics of your speech patterns. When
you first start ViaVoice, the User Wizard takes you through
Quick Training. The sentences you record in Quick Training help
ViaVoice learn your voice characteristics to increase speech
recognition accuracy.
To increase the recognition accuracy even more, the Enrollment
process lets you dictate a script to help ViaVoice learn your
voice, pronunciation, and speech patterns.
