THE
MA IV BIOS
FOR
H
OT

WAP
Before the MA IV’s battery can be hot swapped, the BIOS must
be set to do so. The MA IV that you received was preset with
the BIOS set to enable hot swapping of the battery. If the BIOS
values become corrupt or lost, perform the following steps to
return the BIOS to the preset values:

Power up the MA IV.
Refer to “Powering Up the CPU” on page 23 for
information.

Wait a couple of seconds after the CPU begins booting
and the Xybernaut logo displays and then press the
F2
key.
The BIOS setup screen appears.

Press the
right arrow key
to move the cursor to highlight
Power
.
The
Power
screen displays values similar to those listed
below:

Change the values on your screen to match those listed
above.
Using the
down arrow key
,
move the cursor and
highlight the value you want to change, then press the
spacebar until the desired value displays.

When all values match those listed above, press the
right
arrow key
until the
Exit
option is selected.

Choose the
Exit
Saving Changes
option.
The MA IV reboots using the new BIOS values.
