The MA IV is a fully functional PC computer but with several
advantages over other types of computers.
Feature
Benefit
Mobile ergonomic design
The MA IV and the indispensable information it can access goes
wherever the work is. Productivity increases.
Rugged durability and
performance
The MA IV is designed for industrial work environments. The specially
designed magnesium alloy case is 10 to 20 times stronger than most
ABS plastic lap-top computer cases. The removable hard drive is
mounted in shock-absorbing gel.
The MA IV’s durability keeps the system up and running. Productivity
increases.
Voice activation
You can interact with the MA IV without using your hands. It’s faster
than typing and doesn’t take your hands or your attention away from
your primary focus. Productivity increases.
Video capture
Even people that aren’t wearing the MA IV benefit from its mobility.
With the optional video camera, the MA IV can transmit video
through the network to an off-site expert. Productivity increases.
Universal Serial Bus (USB)
connector
The MA IV is designed with a USB connector on the CPU. USB ported
devices are rapidly becoming the standard for connecting peripherals
in the most efficient manner. USB connections offer advantages in
speed over other connections such as serial or infrared. Productivity
increases.
Multiple communication
configurations
The MA IV maintains its true mobility while remaining connected to
the network via standard communications CardBus PCMCIA cards.
Mobile network connections can be made to numerous wireless local
area network (LAN) communications devices, many operating at data
rates ranging from 1 million to 10 million bits per second (Mbps).
Connections can also be made to wireless wide area networks (WAN)
such as nationwide cellular systems and packet data networks.
The MA IV allows you to be mobile but maintain access to all the
information on your enterprise network. Productivity increases.
