2. After you open the tray, register the stack of paper or media against the front right side of the
paper tray.
3. Move both Paper Weight Switches to their appropriate positions.
4. If the paper weight is 60 g/m
2
–256 g/m
2
, the air adjustment levers, or switches, are positioned
toward the front of the tray. If the paper weight is 257 g/m 2 –300 g/m 2 , the the air adjustment
levers, or switches, are positioned toward the rear of the tray.
Note: For paper heavier than 256 g/m ² , slide both paper weight switches to the heavier
weight position 257–300 g/m ² . Failure to move the switches can result in paper jams.
5. Push in the tray gently and completely. When the loaded tray is closed, the tray position is
adjusted automatically in the front/back direction based on the paper size. A pop-up window
appears that asks you to confirm the type and size of the stock.
6. If you changed the media type, select an option on the control panel touch screen:
• To the choose paper size, type, or color, touch Paper Supply .
• To choose a specific paper stock, touch Paper Catalog .
7. Touch Save , then touch Confirm .
8. If did not change the media type, to retain the previous settings, touch Cancel .

The Post-Process Inserter is standard component of the Standard Finisher and Standard Finisher with
Booklet Maker. The Post-Process Inserter is used to load blank or pre-printed paper that is used for
separators and covers. The inserter holds a maximum of 200 sheets.
1. Remove any paper that remains loaded in the inserter.
2. Hold the center of the paper guides and slide them to the required paper size.
3. Load the paper, and align it to the front of the tray.
4. If the paper is pre-printed, load the paper with the printed side to face up with the tab side to be
fed first.
5. After stock is loaded into the Post-Process Inserter, a pop-up window appears to change or
confirm the type and size of the stock. The tray is not ready for use until you change or confirm
the size and type of stock.
6. If you have changed the media type, select an option on the control panel touch screen:
• To choose the paper size, type, or color, touch Paper Supply .
• To choose a specific paper stock, touch Paper Catalog .
