Install the O-ring followed by the brass part with bevel, making sure the beveled end is
facing the O-ring.
6.7.5.5
Install nut and tighten until assembly is made up solid.
NOTE: Be careful not to twist the internal heat exchanger while tightening this end. Use a
jerking motion to tension the nut if necessary.
NOTE: "Optional", it is also possible to tighten this nut prior to installing the 6 bolts, but care must be taken to
closely align the 6 holes with the pump drive housing.

Installing a head clutch
(if equipped)

Head Clutch Orientation
6.8.1
Orientation of head clutch on WP1-01 or the WP1-02 depends on which head the
clutch is installed on.
6.8.2
Clean surface and apply Loctite 518 to the bottom of the head clutch. The Loctite must
go around and between all holes.
6.8.3
Center the head clutch on the head of the pump drive, refer to Figure above for proper
orientation of the parts of the clutch on the head.
6.8.4
Secure the head clutch on a WP1-01 or WP1-02 using the mounting holes and a D to C
spline adapter. Apply Loctite 518 or equivalent to temporary cover plate and install
fasteners and lock washers in all the through holes.
6.8.5
Follow Table in back of manual for proper torque.
