Power Feed Problems
Up/Down Or Power Feed
Motors Overheat And Loose
Power.
System overload or bind
occurred.
Allow motor to cool before
restarting.
Normal operation factors
exceeded (e.g.: up/down
control jockeyed excessively).
Allow motor to cool before
restarting.
Everything Works And Then
Cuts Out - Works Again.
Bad fuse, or ground
connection.
Check and tighten
connections.
Nothing Works Electrically.
Blown fuse.
Replace.
PROBLEM
CAUSE
SOLUTION
Power Feed Is Jerky At Low
Speeds Or Does Not Move
Until Speed Is Above Halfway
Mark.
Drum switch is dirty.
Clean drum switch and lubricate
with contact grease supplied by
Wood-Mizer.
Drum switch contacts are bad
Check that contacts are in good
condition and positively close
circuit.
Speed switch is worn.
Replace the speed switch.
Speed switch is blocked.
Turn off the power for 20
seconds and turn it back on.
Power Feed Is Jerky, But
Power Feed Motor Runs
Properly At All Speeds.
Problem is mechanical.
Refer to the Mechanical Test.
