Gas supply and heat output
Heating is done using propane / butane liquid gas in commercially
available 11 kg gas bottles.
The heat requirement is approx. 55 000 kcal/h.
Liquid gas has a heat output of approx.12.7 kW (approx. 11 000 kcal/h);
i.e., consumption will reach a maximum of 6-8 kg of gas per hour.
One gas bottle may provide approx. 1 kg/h during continuous operation,
and approx. 2 kg/h during short-time operation.
Four 11 kg gas bottles will be interconnected to obtain a bottle bank.
Pursuant to the applicable regulations, the bottle and controller
arrangements are located outside the closed driver's cab. Solenoid
valves are used to switch the radiator groups either on or off.
The operating pressure is controllable using an 11 step controller in a
range between approx. 0.4 to 1.4 bars.
This allows the heat output to be adapted to the heat requirement.

Electrical supply
Power for the control unit and for the solenoid valves is supplied from
the machine's on-board electrical system. The control voltage ist 12 V .

Radiator groups
All-metal compact radiators made of stainless steel are installed. These
radiators are largely insensitive to mechanical stress and vibrations.
