Making the parking brakes
inoperational
Only for the purpose of towing in case of a defective diesel engine or
defective hydraulic system the pretension of the spring-loaded brakes
may be reduced using the manual pump [530].
1. Fold away right stairs.
2. Open service flaps using the ignition key.
3. Loosen counternut [B].
4. Screw in the screw [C] until the stop.
5. Unlock the spring-operated brakes by pumping at lever [A] (approx.
30 pump strokes).
6. During towing, the spring-operated brakes must be kept open by
constant and slow pumping due to interior leaks.

NOTICE
Malfunction of hydraulic system!
Loss of hydraulic oil or pressure within hydraulic system.
Do not screw out the screw by more than 2 turns; otherwise,
hydraulic oil may flow out between screw and housing or air may
enter into the system.

1. Screw out screw [C] by two turns.
2. Tighten the lock nut [B].
3. Close service flap and lock with ignition key.
4. Put stairs into operation mode again.
