6.4 - Configuration
The Winegard 2-Way Controller is a versatile system that allows connection and
operation with a number of different Winegard antenna systems without the need for
additional configuration. Also, communication with modems from other manufacturers
to provide a fully integrated system is a feature of the 2-Way controller software.
6.4.1 - Network Configuration
The first step in the configuration process is setting up the network parameters of the
controller.
The reason this is a step before the actual configuration is that during the Configuration
process the modem type will be selected, at that time the controller will attempt to
interface with the modem. If the Network settings are incorrect, the controller will fail
this attempt.
As mentioned earlier in the Scope of this manual, description of screens not related to
the actual process being described will not be undertaken at this stage.
How to Configure Network Settings:
1.
Tap the Wrench Icon on the Main Menu screen.
2.
The controller will enter the Advanced User Data section and the first screen that
appears is the POSITION STATISTICS screen.
Click “NEXT” to continue.
3.
The next screen that appears is the GPS STATISTICS (Live) screen.
Click “NEXT” to continue.
4.
The next screen that appears is the CALIBRATE THE MOUNT screen.
Click “NO” to continue.
