the operating station.

4. Inspect for any shipping damage. If damage has occurred, notify the carrier.

5. Unbolt (for wooden crates) and remove any banding fixing the mast to the shipping crate or

carton. Remove any banding fixing the mast.

6. Using a hoist, lift the Night Scan Vertical from the shipping container by the two horizontal

Remote-Controlled Positioner (RCP) shafts and the vertical shaft (Figure 5-1). Lifting from

locations other than those indicated could result in equipment damage.
