8.8. Replacing ribbed V-belt
Put the new v-ribbed belt
(H) onto the v-ribbed wheel.
Put the clamping bushing (G)
onto the shaft (I) and push
into the v-ribbed wheel (F).
Align the clamping bushing
(G) and the v-ribbed wheel
(F) on the shared fastening
bores (D).
Insert threaded pins
manually.
Generally align the ribbed
belt pulley (F) to the
ribbed belt pulley (J) with
the aid of straight-edge.
Tighten the threaded pins
tight enough so the ribbed
belt pulley can be aligned
parallel by lightly tapping
it with a rubber hammer.
Tighten the threaded pins
completely after final
alignment.
If the wedge-ribbed disks
are not sufficiently
parallel (0.04 in.), repeat
the procedure.
Always ensure that the
jockey pulley is centralized
and parallel to the back of
the rim.
Tighten the hexagonal nut
(B) of the belt tensioner
until the ribbed belt can be
pressed down 0.16 in. with a
pressure of 100 N on the
untensioned side.
Remount the drive
protection (A).
