True RMS current meter
1k Ω non-inductive power resistor.
Procedure:
1)
Connect:
a)
One test cable from socket PREM plug to 1k Ω. (Refer the connection diagram for
Monopolar)
b)
Another test cable from Monopolar 1 socket to true RMS current meter in series with 1kΩ.
c)
Monopolar footswitch to the Monopolar 1 footswitch socket on the rear panel.
2)
Check and adjust the Vmax for Monopolar Blend 2 cut output.
a)
Select mode „3:4 Blend 2‟.
b)
Press the Monopolar cut footswitch pedal and check if the current reading is equivalent to
447 mA ± 20 mA RMS.
c)
Stop activation. If the output current is high decrease DAC Counts by pressing down key.
If low increase it by pressing up key.
d)
Repeat step (b) & (c) sequentially until the meter reading is not in the stated range.
e)
When reading is in stated range, press „Write Counts to program memory‟ for storing
corresponding fire count reading in the system memory.
Sub step- 5 (Saline Resection Cut Mode)
Equipment:
Monopolar footswitch.
Small test cables with banana plugs
True RMS current meter
1k Ω non-inductive power resistor.
Procedure:
1)
Connect:
a)
One test cable from Saline Resection plug to 1k Ω. (Refer the connection diagram for
Saline Resection).
b)
One test cable from Saline Resection socket passing through true RMS current meter to
1kΩ.
c)
Monopolar footswitch to the Monopolar 1 footswitch socket on the rear panel.
2)
Check and adjust the Vmax for Saline Resection cut output.
a)
Select mode „3:5 BiTUR Cut‟.
b)
Press the Monopolar footswitch pedal and check if the current reading is equivalent to 360
mA ± 20 mA RMS.
c)
Stop activation. If the output current is high decrease DAC Counts by pressing down key.
If low increase it by pressing up key.
d)
Repeat step (b) & (c) sequentially until the meter reading is not in the stated range.
e)
When reading is in stated range, press „Write Counts to program memory‟ for storing
corresponding fire count reading in the system memory.
Sub step- 6 (Saline Resection Coag Mode)
Equipment:
Monopolar footswitch.
Small test cables with banana plugs

1k Ω non-inductive power resistor.
