Calibration Step 2 - Close Loop Current Calibration (I-max)

Equipment

Bipolar single paddle footswitch.

Small test cables with banana plugs

True RMS current meter.

10 Ω non-inductive power resistor.
Procedure:
1) Connect:
a) One test cable from Bipolar socket to the RMS current meter in series with the 10 Ω
resistor. (Refer the connection diagram for bipolar).
b) One test cable from another Bipolar socket to a 10 Ω resistor.
c) Bipolar footswitch to the bipolar/sealer single paddle footswitch socket on the rear panel.
2) Check and adjust the I-max for bipolar output.
a) Select mode „2:1 BIP‟.
b) Press the Bipolar footswitch pedal & check if current reading is equivalent to 3082 mA ±
20 mA RMS.
c) If not then stop activation. If the output current is high decrease DAC Counts by pressing
down touch key. If low increase it by pressing up key.
d) Repeat step (b) & (c) sequentially until the meter reading is not in the stated range.
e) When reading is in stated range, press „Write Counts to program memory‟ for storing
corresponding fire count reading in the system memory.
