Note:
Use Ultragrade 19 or Inland Q45 oil only. Refer to the manufacturer’s manual
for more information about filling the pump with oil.

Attach the NW25 tee, included in the Startup Kit, to the inlet of the rotary pump
using the NW25 center ring and clamp (

Attach a length of 1-inch ID vacuum hose to each open port on the NW25 tee. Use
the NW25 flanges, center rings, and clamps provided in the Startup Kit.
5.
Connect the opposite ends of the two lengths of vacuum hose to the two straight
NW25 vacuum ports on the detector’s rear panel. Use NW25 flanges, center rings,
clamps, and elbows, as necessary.
6.
Remove the nozzle fitting on the pump exhaust port, and replace it with the NW25
flange and O-ring from the Startup Kit.
Note:
Ensure the NW25 flange is tight. Pump vibration can loosen it, causing oil to
leak.
7.
Connect the oil mist filter assembly to the pump exhaust port. Use an NW25 center
ring and clamp.
8.
Connect an NW25 nozzle fitting to the oil mist filter assembly. Use an NW25 center
ring and clamp.
9.
Connect the 12-mm clear PVC exhaust tubing to the NW25 nozzle fitting. Secure
the tubing with a hose clamp.
10. Route the open end of the exhaust tubing to a suitable exhaust vent.
11. Remove the drain plug and bonded seal from the oil mist filter housing. Save the
drain plug for future use.
12. Connect the female end of the rotary pump power cord to the connector on the
rotary pump relay box. Connect the male end of the power cord to the rotary pump
connector on the instrument’s rear panel.
13. Turn the power switch to On.
Note:
The pump will not start at this time. It is controlled by the system software.
2.3.2 Installing the Oil Return Connection Kit
The oil return connection kit collects excess oil from the oil mist filter housing and returns it
to the rotary pump oil reservoir.
