Closing the boot lid
— Pull the boot lid down with force by the
handle in the interior trim so that it en-
, → .
A symbol in the instrument cluster display in-
dicates that the boot lid is opened or not
properly closed.
The boot lid is locked automatically when the
vehicle is moving.
WARNING
Serious injuries can occur if the boot lid is
closed incorrectly or without due care and
attention.

When closing the boot lid, please ensure
that no one has their hands in the direct
path of the boot lid as it moves.
If the boot lid is not opened within
a few minutes after unlocking, it auto-
matically locks again.

ing the boot lid

Electrically opening the boot lid
— To unlock the boot lid, briefly press the
or button on the vehicle key.
— OR: pull the
button in the driver door
upwards →

— OR: press the button for opening the boot
The boot lid will then open.
Electrically closing the boot lid
— Press the button in the open boot lid

— OR: with the ignition on, pull the
but-
ton in the driver door up until the boot lid
is closed.
— OR: briefly press and hold the
button
on the vehicle key. The vehicle key must
also be within the operating range.
— OR: close the tailgate by moving it man-
ually until the tailgate closes by itself.
The boot lid is closed.
Interrupting the opening or closing proce-
dure
— Press the button or one of the
but-
tons whilst opening or closing.
— OR: press the button on the boot lid dur-
ing the opening or closing process

The boot lid can not be moved by hand. You
will need to use more force than usual.
