Adjust dosing plates
(mechanically operated)
It is necessary to set the dosing baffles to the correct positions to each
other to ensure a correct dosing setting. If the dosing openings do not
close well you will loose unnecessary fertiliser and the application rate
will be higher than intended with a specific dosing setting. If the baffles
slide far over each other the application rate will be much lower than
expected.
If the dosing plates are mounted in the correct positions you will see a
small crack of light when the dosing holes are closed.
Switch the tractor off, remove the key from the ignition and engage
the parking brake of the tractor.
Place the dosing knobs in position 0+0.
Use the relevant levers to close the dosing units completely.
Check that both levers are in the same position and are resting
against the bolt head on the end block.
Correct the position of the levers if necessary by moving the bolt in
the slotted hole.
Open the sieves and lock them.
Check if you can see a small crack between the dosing baffles.
Adjust the length of the drawbars so the stop on the dosing plate is
resting against the dosing knob in position 0+0.
Check if you can see a small crack between the dosing baffles.
Finally, do the following checks:
Put the dosing knob to 36+0.
Open the dosing units with the lever.
Measure the size of the opening. The difference between the left
and the right should be a maximum of 0.5 mm.
