To be done before spreading
67
Dosing setting
The dosing setting to be set can be:
•
Read from the relevant spreading chart if a lower application rate
is to be used whereby the fine application kit is used and
Fine
application kit
is indicated under the heading in the spreading
chart:
yes
.
→
Determine an application rate not given as described in
paragraph »Application rate«from page 63.
•
Calculate using the relevant spreading chart if a lower application
rate is to be used whereby the fine application kit is indeed used
and
Fine application kit
is indicated under the heading in the
spreading chart:
no
.
Calculation
As 2 of the 3 dosing openings are closed the flowrate of the remaining
dosing opening should be three times as much in order to obtain an
even application rate.
Read the
Dosing Setting, Discharge Point and kg/min
(flowrate)
from the spreading chart. Calculate the flowrate with the formula
given below.
If the selected application rate or driving speed is not indicated in the
spreading chart the required flowrate can also be calculated as
follows:
Use the letter given for setting the discharge point in the line of the
spreading chart that most closely resembling the calculated flowrate.
Multiply the flowrate (given in the
Kg/min
column or calculated)
with a factor of 3.
Search in the
Kg/min
column for the most comparable flowrate and
read the relevant dosing setting or estimate it as closely as
possible. Do not use the discharge point indicated there!
Setting the spreader
Set the given discharge point as per the prescribed method
→
in paragraph »Discharge point« on page 62.
Set the given or calculated dosing setting as appropriate.
→
see instructions in paragraph »Application rate« from page 63.
Do a calibration test to check the dosing setting,
→
see instructions in paragraph »Calibration test« on page 75.
