CineCast HD Version 2.6 Installation and User Manual
MPEG PLAY Command (No Frame Counting)
connects from the bus. If the decoder has empty space in the DRAM buffer, the
decoder will immediately reconnect to the bus and transfer the MPEG data. If no
buffers are available, the decoder will wait until room is available. If the decoder
is not playing back, all
MPEG
WRITE
s are rejected. The decoder will return:
“Illegal request, write protected — MPEG Write while not playing.”
After the
RESET
BUFFER
command and before the
MPEG
PLAY
is issued, data must
be pre-loaded into the decoder buffers. The decoder requires from eight to 24
64-K blocks of data. If more than 24 blocks are loaded, the decoder will reject
the 25th
WRITE
with the same write protect noted above.
MPEG PLAY Command (No Frame Counting)
Uses the
MPEG
PLAY
command (A5h) with data. See Flowchart 2-1.
MPEG PLAY Command (With Frame Counting)
Pre-black, frame count, and post-black parameters are in terms of number of
